Post a Bulgaria travel question and get unbiased, timely answers and insights from real travelers and Bulgaria locals. You can easily visit all the central sights in one day, most of them don't take a long time to see (don't expect too much from some of the sights on your list, e.g. Maybe another day for the National History Museum and Vitosha (I gather you're planning a quick look at Vitosha, rather than a real hike which can take a day in itself). You might also want to have a look at Boyana Church as it's quite near the Museum. And a day for Rila - presumably you are going on an organised tour here? So you can fit that into 3 days easily enough. For Plovdiv I think you've allowed enough time, although your list of places sounds quite long, again many of them don't take long to see, and the city is quite compact. So a day and a bit for the city and a day for Bachkovo seems fine.In Veliko Tarnovo, if you find yourself with a day to spare you can also visit Tryavna. I don't think Arbanasi needs a full day, and it's only a few minutes from Veliko Tarnovo.Overall I think it's a pretty good itinerary with a reasonable balance of travel and sightseeing. Perhaps the one drawback is that you won't see a lot of Bulgaria's mountain scenery, which for me is more of an attraction than most of the historic sights. But that probably simply reflects you're interests so it's not a criticism. All of your opinions are important to me. Yes, this is meant to be more of a cultural, artistic viewing trip, not a trekking trip. Sadly, I have had to give up more than 2 or 3 hour easy walks...
