Local media also report he is close to self-confessed drugsboss, Dimitar Zhelyazkov, also known as Mityo Ochite (Mityo the Eyes), who is currentlya serving four-and-a-half year prison sentence. Police say the blast was probably used to intimidate KristianKodjoukliev, a resident of the apartment block. The Interior Ministry had been criticised for failing to root out corruptionand curb organised crime. They are accused by prosecutors of passingsensitive information to shadowy businessmen and irregular phone tapping.
