Nominated were government structures, companies or individuals who violated the right of personal immunity and protection of citizens’ personal data. The 2007 'Big Brother' award was given to the Ministry of Interior for publishing data from the international passports and police dockets of two BBC journalists who made a documentary about Bulgaria. Other nominees included the Traffic Police, the Registry Agency and the Personal Data Protection Commission itself.
