It will be established as a symbol of Association de la Sommellerie Internationale � ASI and will popularize Bulgaria around the World. Professor Bajidar Dimitrov held a lecture about the history of the wine in Bulgaria during the centuries. Representatives of Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, France, Norway, Finland, Portuguese, Turkey and Sweden went on the competition. The contest was arranged like a spectacular show. The event went on under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Georgi Parvanov. There was a special bottle of wine for the winner. They tried two sorts of wines and three types of spirits.
